Pan Am has launched a search for it's tenth president. "Our search committee has been hard at work developing a comprehensive position description and is eager to begin reviewing the materials submitted by potential candidates," said interim president Kim Warner. "This is a terrific opportunity to lead an institution fulfilling the church's mission of education." "We welcome the sharing of this announcement and position description broadly to assist us in developing a robust candidate pool," noted search committee chair, Judy Fletcher. The search committee comprises current and former members of the Pan Am board of trustees, Pan Am alumni, and members of the Pan Am faculty.
The student-led worship service of scripture lessons, carols, and candlelight held on Tuesday, December 3 was a truly beautiful remembrance of Christ's birth. We are grateful for the student liturgists who shared the lessons, our talented choir and musicians who presented the carols, and the students on the tech team who coordinated the sound and video. Afterwards, students shared a meal together and exchanged gifts, complete with Santa and his elves!
On Monday, December 2, twelve new members were inducted into the John A. Mackay Chapter of the National Honor Society. These students were selected by their teachers as those who most uphold the ideals of scholarship, service, leadership, and character. During the ceremony, inductees were presented with a yellow rose from current members of the chapter. Congratulations to these well-rounded students!
This Giving Tuesday, we are seeking $6,000 to give our second activity bus a much-needed “facelift.” All donations collected TODAY, Tuesday, December 3, will offset this maintenance expense and free up resources from our budget for our biggest priority – scholarship funds for our students. Won't you help?
Students, faculty, staff, and guests gathered together on Tuesday, November 26 for food and fellowship at our annual Thanksgiving luncheon. In addition to our many blessings, we give thanks to the freshman class for providing the table decorations and to our wonderful dining hall staff who prepared and served this delicious meal for everyone to enjoy.
